Pacific Conference for Development Economics (PacDev) 2020
On Saturday, March 14th, CEGA hosted the 13th annual Pacific Conference for Development Economics (PacDev). The event brought together researchers and practitioners to present and discuss work that enhances our understanding of economic development, advances theoretical and empirical methods, and improves development interventions and policy. In order to minimize transmission of COVID-19, we decided to move the Pacific Conference for Development Economics (PacDev) fully online.
More than 70 researchers presented to over 300 participants on a variety of topics related to poverty and economic development. Gabriel Zucman of UC Berkeley delivered a keynote on “21st Century Tax Systems for Developing Countries.” Zucman is an Assistant Professor of Economics, where his research focuses on the accumulation and distribution of global wealth. For more information, see our round-up blog post. Check this web page again soon, where papers and videos will be posted in the coming weeks.
