The Research Matchmaking Conference on July 4-5, 2018 in Kampala, Uganda focused on fostering collaboration between BRAC and CEGA researchers. The conference featured presentations from BRAC and CEGA researchers on recently completed studies, such as Impact Evaluation of Targeting the Ultra Poor Program in South Sudan by CEGA affiliate Ethan Ligon and Impact Evaluation of Safe Migration Program by BRAC researcher Narayan Das. In addition, the conference featured presentations surrounding BRAC programmatic areas such as education, health, and agriculture, as well as discussions on opportunities for future research collaborations with BRAC. By bringing researchers together in the same space and prioritizing time for hands-on matchmaking sessions, the workshop successfully brought fruition to innovative research ideas and new collaborative partnerships.
