The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) seeks a creative team or individual videographer to produce a short video that provides an overview of the Center. The video will be published on CEGA’s Youtube channel, embedded on its website, and promoted across its social platforms. The video will play a critical role in a multi-year campaign to raise $10 million for the Center’s first endowment. The video must engage, inform, and activate its key audiences.
CEGA is a hub for research, training and innovation headquartered at the University of California, Berkeley. We generate insights that leaders can use to improve policies, programs, and people’s lives. Our academic network includes more than 160 faculty, 65 scholars from low- and middle-income countries, and hundreds of graduate students — from diverse academic disciplines and across the globe — that produce rigorous evidence about what works to expand education, health, and economic opportunities for people living in poverty.
Based on an existing treatment, the selected vendor will work closely with Center leadership to refine the video concept, develop a script and storyboard, outline a production schedule, and ultimately deliver a polished final product. This project requires a team with proven success translating complex research into compelling brand-aligned products. The ideal team will leverage a combination of brand, issue advocacy and non-profit experience to help us shape a powerful and unique video that speaks to our key audiences.
Please see the request for proposals (RFP) for more details and instructions on how to submit your proposal. Formal proposals should be emailed as a single packaged file to Matthew Kertman at kertman [at] berkeley [dot] edu no later than 11:59pm PST on December 6, 2023.
