CEGA Affiliate Jennifer Bussell’s book “Clients and Constituents: Political Responsiveness in Patronage Democracies” was featured in a piece by The Economic Times earlier this month:

New Delhi: Parliamentarians who have a slightly different relationship with their constituencies and are less frequently seen there have a rough time, according to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor.

Speaking at a conclave here Thursday, Tharoor, who has been elected to the Lok Sabha from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala thrice in a row since 2009, said he believes he has done his job properly and that is the reason why people have reposed faith in him.
