Project Description:
The Social Science Prediction Platform (SSPP) allows for the systematic collection and assessment of expert forecasts of the effects of untested social programs. This should help both policymakers and social scientists by improving the accuracy of forecasts, allowing for more effective decision-making, and improving experimental design and analysis.

Role Description
As a Software Engineering Intern at SSPP, you will work with a Lead Software Engineer and a team of Economics Professors, Post-Grads, and Undergrads. You will debug and fix bugs, and work on features through all the phases of: Design Doc → Unit Tests → Code → Code Review → Release Management. The SSPP platform is built with PostgreSQL and Django, and runs in Docker and on Heroku.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience collaborating remotely (e.g. work or school).
- Eligible to work in the United States; we are not able to sponsor visas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Django.
- Familiarity with basic web development (HTML, CSS, basic Javascript).
