Video: Reevaluating the US Safety Net During and After COVID-19

On July 1st, CEGA’s partner research center The Opportunity Lab (O-Lab) and The Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE) hosted a panel discussion with Hilary Hoynes (UC Berkeley), Jesse Rothstein (UC Berkeley), and Damon Jones (University of Chicago), moderated by Lori Ann Ospina (IRLE), on what the pandemic is highlighting about our approach to protecting vulnerable communities, as well as how we might build a more robust and resilient safety net in a post-COVID world. In total, there were 94 attendees, with at least 50 registered attendees from governments and NGOs.
