Tejaswi Velayudhan is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Irvine. Her research interests are in public economics questions that are particularly relevant for developing countries. Her current research includes work on decentralization and taxation, motivated by the question of how developing countries can increase state capacity while balancing equity and efficiency. She received her PhD in 2019 from the University of Michigan.
