Systems Management Intern
Sam is the Management Systems intern at CEGA where he works in Operations to manage and clean data, develop process improvements, and systematize core CEGA functions. Prior to joining CEGA, he was a Director at Forcier, a research consulting firm working in Sub-Saharan Africa. Recent projects include the Flagship Survey in South Sudan for UNHCR to collect indicators of health, education, household assets, safety, and wellbeing from refugees, asylum seekers, and members of the host community; and the Multi-Tier Measurement of Energy Access project for the World Bank in the Democratic Republic of Congo which defined a reference level of access along tiers of access to energy. Currently enrolled in UC Berkeley’s Master of Information and Data Science program, he also has a Master’s degree in International Economics and International Development from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science from Saint Louis University.
