Samarth Bordia
Project Manager
Samarth works in Operations where his focus is on finance, center-wide information systems management, and running the biannual Development Economics Challenge. He has previously worked in sustainable development in numerous contexts including launching a farmer’s market in rural India; studying a national program for wastewater reuse in Morocco; and co-founding a sustainable fisheries startup, Acari, which works with small-scale fishermen in Southern Mexico to process and market the invasive “pez diablo” or devil fish. In addition to completing a Masters degree in Development Practice from UC Berkeley, Samarth graduated with honors from Cornell University where he majored in Industrial and Labor Relations.
