Saint Kizito Omala
Saint Kizito Omala is a Lecturer in the Department of Statistical Methods and Actuarial Science, Makerere University, Uganda. Prior to this, Kizito worked as a measurement statistician with Uganda’s national examinations agency. He holds a PhD in Statistics from Makerere University and he is a co-Principal investigator at the Impact Evaluations for Evidence-based policy Decisions (IEED) hub at Makerere University. One of IEED’s aim is to promote knowledge co-generation, facilitate and increase opportunities for conducting collaborative policy relevant impact evaluations. He has over 16 years’ experience in evaluation of education and development programs as evaluation expert, statistician or psychometrician. Kizito is a member of NIERA, the American Statistical Association and the International Statistical Institute, and fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He is an Ambassador of the Open Science Framework and a Catalyst of the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences, promoting research reproducibility and transparency.
