
Oluwabunmi Adejumo
Associate Professor, Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies
Oluwabunmi Adejumo is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Alongside being a fellow at CEGA, she is a fellow at the Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE) at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, as well as an alumnus of the Institute of Housing Studies, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and is an active member of the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme (IUSDRP) at HAW-Hamburg University, Germany.
Her research broadly focuses on labour and development studies, with particular emphasis on entrepreneurship, environment, gender, and human development. Recent projects she has led or contributed to explore themes such as climate and conflict, entrepreneurship and child education, youth and women empowerment, and sustaining livelihoods. Her work has been published in journals including Social Science and Medicine, Ecological Economics, and the International Journal of Manpower.
