Munir Squires

Munir Squires is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia. His main research interests are in development economics, focusing on the importance of kinship on the process of development. He has conducted fieldwork on this topic in Kenya, DRC and Tanzania. He has more recently used historical US data to study similar questions. He joined UBC after completing his PhD at the London School of Economics.
