Monica Singhal

Monica Singhal is a Professor in the Economics department at UC Davis. Her primary research field is public finance, with a particular focus on tax and transfer programs in low and middle income economies. She is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a faculty affiliate with the International Growth Centre, and a J-PAL invited researcher. She has served as a co-editor of the Journal of Public Economics and on the Board of Directors of the National Tax Association. She received her AB and PhD from Harvard University.
