Matt Lowe

Matt Lowe is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of British Columbia. Matt uses field and natural experiments to study topics at the intersection of social psychology and development economics. At the core of this are field experiments in India, including one on intergroup contact in Uttar Pradesh and another on the influence of social media in West Bengal.

Matt received his PhD in Economics from MIT, and worked as a post-doc at the Institute on Behavior and Inequality (briq) in Bonn, Germany prior to joining UBC.
