Maddie Duhon

Maddie Duhon is an Associate Director of Research and Policy at CEGA, where she works closely with Professor Supreet Kaur to develop the vision and agenda for a portfolio of projects connected to the Psychology and Economics of Poverty Initiative (PEP), along with a parallel portfolio of research in India. In this role, she helps design, implement, and scale policy-relevant research projects in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental partners. Maddie’s research focuses on poverty and inequality, with particular interests in the psychology of poverty and the intergenerational transmission of poverty. She earned her PhD in Economics at UC Berkeley, where she was also a postdoctoral scholar. Prior to joining CEGA, Maddie was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Pepperdine University.
