Research Advisor
Kelly is a Quantitative Researcher at Meta, with expertise in experiments, behavioral science, and computational social science. During her PhD at Stanford, her research leveraged survey and field experiments to understand how voter pessimism sustains politician corruption in Kenya. As a Research Scientist at MIT GOV/LAB and Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, she led a user research study on a WhatsApp training course for civic organizers in Johannesburg, launched a Behavioral Science in the Field Course in Nairobi, and evaluated the efficacy of a vaccine-message testing campaign for international vs. local health messengers on social media for the VAX-UP initiative. She has experience working with various civil society and international organizations including Twaweza, the National Taxpayers Association, USAID, and the World Bank. Additionally, she has industry experience as a computational social scientist for ACRONYM and as a data scientist at Social Capital and Crowdpac.
