Josephine Mwamba

Josephine Mwamba is a 2026 CEGA Fellow, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Development Studies at Rockview University. She serves as Southern Africa Coordinator for the Global Indigenous Youth Summit on Climate Change (GIYSCC 2026). Her research spans climate and food systems policy, with experience across government, academia, and international research collaborations. She previously served as a research mentee under the Supporting Preparedness for Article 6 Cooperation (SPAR6C) Research Mentorship Program, led by the Global Green Growth Institute and the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, contributing to climate policy initiatives through Zambia’s Ministry of Green Economy and Environment. She holds a master’s degree in Human Geography from the University of Zambia.
