John Maara

John Maara is a development economist and lecturer at the Open University of Kenya. He holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Nairobi. His research focuses on development economics with particular interests in labor markets, agriculture, migration and land governance. He is affiliated with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and the Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA).
