
Jiaying Zhao
Professor
Jiaying Zhao is the Canada Research Chair in Behavioral Sustainability, and a Professor in Department of Psychology and Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. Jiaying received her PhD in cognitive psychology from Princeton University. She uses psychological principles to design behavioral solutions to address financial and environmental sustainability challenges. Specifically, her work examines how poverty impacts cognitive function and tests behavioral interventions to alleviate cognitive burdens in low-income individuals.
