Ester Agasha
Ester Agasha (CEGA Non-Resident Fellow) is a PhD student of Microfinance at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Uganda and a registered member of the Africa Academy of Management (AFAM). She is also an academic at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) where she has taught financial management, microfinance, monetary policy, and portfolio analysis for the last 8 years. Ester has presented papers at international conferences in Uganda, Rwanda, New Delhi and South Africa and published widely in refereed journals. Ester has a passion to grow a research career and contribute to the ongoing academic debate in the field of microfinance, financial inclusion, financial literacy, and poverty reduction in the developing world. Her research proposal is on “Assessing the Impact of Financial Education Initiatives on Women Empowerment in Uganda.”
