David Lagakos

Professor

David Lagakos is a Professor of Economics at Boston University. He received his Ph.D in economics from UCLA. He has previously held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Arizona State University, the University of San Diego, and is currently a research associate with the Economic Fluctuations and Growth Group at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is also the lead academic for the International Growth Centre’s Ghana program, co-convener of the Macro, Growth and Welfare network at Yale’s Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale, a co-editor of the Journal of Development Economics, and an associate editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics. His research focuses on economic growth and macroeconomic approaches to economic development.
