Craig McIntosh

Professor of Economics

Craig McIntosh is a Professor of Economics at UCSD. His main research interest is the design of institutions promoting financial services for micro-entrepreneurs. He has conducted field evaluations in Mexico, Guatemala, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. He is currently investigating how to boost savings among the poor, whether schooling can be used as a tool to fight HIV/AIDS, and what mechanisms improve the long-term viability of Fair Trade markets.
