Chinenye Bembir

Dr Chinenye Bembir (CEGA Non-Resident Fellow) is a Senior Research Investigator and Postdoctoral fellow at Center for Translation and Implementation Research (CTAIR), University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. She is also a fellow of the WHO/TDR Implementation Research Postgraduate scheme.

She holds a PhD in Public Health (Implementation Research), an MPH in Field Epidemiology and about ten years of experience in the implementation of public health grant projects.
She has played the role of a Principal Investigator for three early career grant projects funded by the World Health Organization, World Bank, DFID/UK, and USAID among others. Her research interests are in the Epidemiology of infectious diseases (Malaria, Neglected tropical diseases) and Non-communicable Diseases (Cervical cancer), Implementation Research, Data Science, and Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Health interventions.

She is presently employed at CTAIR co-leading the implementation of a 5-year UO1 NIH-funded research grant.
