Catherine Sempele

Catherine Sempele is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business, Economics and Management Sciences at the University of Eldoret and a 2026 CEGA Fellow. Her research focuses on technical and vocational training, youth employability, and labor market outcomes, particularly among marginalized populations. She is currently developing and evaluating the BRIDGE Program, which combines mentorship, job placement support, psychosocial resilience building, and curriculum alignment with labor market needs for youth in Mombasa County’s hospitality, tourism, and blue economy sectors. Sempele holds a doctoral degree in Educational Technology, with a specialization in Home Science and Technology Education, from the University of Eldoret, Kenya.
