Catherine Sempele

Catherine Sempele is a senior lecturer in the School of Business, Economics and Management Sciences at the University of Eldoret in Kenya. She holds a doctoral degree in educational technology with a specialization in home science and technology education. Her research focuses on improving technical and vocational training outcomes to increase youth employability, particularly among marginalized populations. She is currently developing and evaluating the BRIDGE Program, an intervention that integrates mentorship, job placement support, psychosocial resilience building and curriculum alignment with labor market needs. The program targets youth in Mombasa County’s hospitality, tourism and blue economy sectors.
