Apollo Maima

Prof. Apollo Maima is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy at Maseno University in Kenya and a 2018 CEGA Fellow. His research focuses on public health, epidemiology, pharmaceutical sciences, and implementation research. He was the principal investigator of a study evaluating the impact of switching from 10-dose to five-dose measles-rubella vaccines in Kenya. Previously, he served as Dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at USIU-Africa and has held roles in pharmaceutical production and quality assurance, health policy, research, and teaching. Maima is also the President of the Association of Pharmacy Schools of Kenya and Editor-in-Chief of the Pharmaceutical Journal of Kenya. He holds a Ph.D. in Community Health and Development from the Great Lakes University of Kisumu and a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
