Evaluation Specialist, Food and Agriculture Organization
Annet Adong is an Evaluation Specialist at the Food and Agriculture Organization, a Senior Research Fellow with Center for Population and Applied Statistics Makerere University, and a part time Lecturer at Kyambogo University, Uganda. She holds a Ph.D in Development/Agricultural Economics from the University of Bonn, a Masters in Development and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Life Sciences Norway and a BSc in Agriculture Economics from Makerere University Uganda. Annet specializes in Agriculture, Conflicts and Forced Displacements. She explored the consequences of armed conflicts and forced displacements on consumption pathways and social preferences for her Ph.D. She has also explored the constraints to the adoption of inorganic fertilizer in Uganda using a Randomized Control Trial and has recently received a grant to explore the potential role of contract farming in improving resilience and social cohesion between refugees and hosts in Uganda. She is a member of the EGAP, IMMANA, NIERA, IAAE and AAAE networks.
