Amy Shipow
Program Manager
Amy supports CEGA’s Global Networks portfolio, which currently includes the Collaboration for Inclusive Development Research (CIDR) initiative, the Working Group on African Political Economy (WGAPE), and the CEGA Fellowship. She comes with seven years of experience working in international global health and development, previously working as a Senior Program Manager for the Public Health Institute’s COVID-19 contact tracing initiative. Through her role as a Qualitative Research Specialist at the Busara Center in Kenya and as an Associate Director of Research at Health Development Initiative in Rwanda, Amy has led multiple participatory-based research projects on sexual reproductive health. Amy holds a dual Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health in Maternal Child Health from University of North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from UC San Diego.
