Alexandra Schubert

Postdoctoral Scholar

Lexi Schubert is a postdoctoral scholar at CEGA supporting the Kenya Life Panel Survey (KLPS). Her research combines behavioral and development economics to examine how poverty and cognitive constraints interact to shape health and labor supply decisions in low-income settings. Lexi’s recent projects explore the demand for rest among online workers in South Africa and the effects of chronic pain medication in rural Uganda.

She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich and a BA in Economics and Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia. In the Fall of 2026, Lexi will join the Department of Economics at Wesleyan University as an Assistant Professor.
