
Adrien Bougen
Assistant Professor
Adrien Bouguen is an Assistant Professor at Santa Clara University, specializing in the economics of education, development economics, and health economics. His research spans both low-income countries (Cambodia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia) and high-income settings (France), with a central focus on understanding how human capital accumulates over the life course and identifying the policies and interventions that can effectively stimulate this process.
Professor Bouguen currently leads multiple social experiments globally and collaborates with leading research institutions, including IPA, J-PAL, the World Bank, and CEGA. He earned his PhD from the Paris School of Economics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley with CEGA.
