Organizational Effectiveness, Anthropic
Ada Wan is a Google alumnus of over 10 years who recently joined Anthropic, an AI safety and research company. As a people strategy and operations leader, she has built award-winning teams and programs in tech, nonprofit, and venture philanthropy. She has also worked with low-income pro se litigants through AmeriCorps, where she earned the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award.
A champion of effective philanthropy, Ada was an early volunteer with The Life You Can Save (TLYCS), which promotes evidence-backed charities. Through TLYCS, she pledged a fraction of her income to fighting poverty, and she was recognized in Peter Singer’s 2013 TED Talk for her commitment to effective altruism.
In addition to giving, Ada’s dedication to underserved communities spans diverse initiatives: leading Sudanese divestment campaigns, making grilled cheese sandwiches for unhoused neighbors at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, advocating for the Earned Income Tax Credit on Capitol Hill, finding adoptive families for Taiwanese orphans, organizing local musicians to carol at nursing homes for low-income residents, and befriending convicted felons in maximum security prisons.
Ada holds a BA in Psychology from Harvard College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
