Abiola Oyebanjo

Abiola Oyebanjo is Co-Director of the 1864 Institute and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Münster, Germany, and a 2022 CEGA Fellow from Nigeria. His research focuses on returns to education, labor market inequalities, and constraints to the growth of small firms in developing countries. Previously, he served as an Associate Manager of Research and Policy at Innovations for Poverty Action and co-founded Empowerment for Local People Foundation in Nigeria, which uses data and technology to support small business owners. Oyebanjo holds a Ph.D. from Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany.
