Intern, Global Networks
We are recruiting an intern who will primarily support Global Networks, with event support, grant management, and documenting programmatic impacts.
About CEGA
The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) is a hub for research, training, and innovation headquartered at the University of California, Berkeley. We generate insights that leaders can use to improve policies, programs, and people’s lives. Our academic network includes more than 170 faculty, 85 scholars from low- and middle-income countries, and hundreds of graduate students — from diverse academic disciplines and around the world — that produce rigorous evidence about what works to expand education, health, and economic opportunities for people living in poverty.
CEGA’s Global Networks initiative invests in LMIC scholars to build their networks, grow in their careers, and generate policy-relevant research for their home countries and regions. Through semester-long fellowships, scholars audit development economics coursework, present at seminars, receive research funding, work with mentors, and network with faculty and students across the CEGA ecosystem. In addition, the Global Networks team organizes conferences to disseminate locally-generated research, funds collaborative research, connects fellows with policymakers and other partners, and hosts events for LMIC scholars to deliver and receive feedback on working papers. Global Networks is also taking an active role in understanding and shaping inclusion in the evidence ecosystem through the Collaboration for Inclusive Development Research.
