The Working Group in African Political Economy (WGAPE) brings together faculty and advanced graduate students in Economics and Political Science who combine field research experience in Africa with training in political economy methods. It is co-led by Amanda Robinson (Ohio State University), Amma Panin (World Bank), Brian Dillon (Cornell), Daniel Posner (UCLA), and Edward Miguel (UC Berkeley). We are collaborating with Kim Dionne from UC Riverside to host a special virtual WGAPE meeting Friday April 24- Saturday April 25, 2020.
This meeting will include discussions on both research designs and papers in progress, as in previous years, and a short panel discussing learning and teaching during a pandemic.
