The curriculum for the workshop featured a strong problem-solving component, with group exercises designed to reinforce concepts delivered through lectures and case studies. At the end of the three-day training, participants formed four small teams that each designed an evaluation for a hypothetical health program.
Participants included public health physicians from hospitals in six regions of the country, members of the Ministry’s Monitoring and Evaluation unit, consultants on a World Bank-funded Health Systems Development Project and academic health researchers from universities throughout the country.
