Training
Three types of training in impact evaluation are offered by CEGA:- Semester-long courses at UC Berkeley for undergraduate (post-graduate) and doctoral students in impact evaluation methods and practice. For an example, see CEGA's Fall 2008 DeCal course on Impact Evaluation for Global Development.
- Week-long workshops on rigorous evaluation methods, with some hands-on practice in evaluation design, are offered for advanced researchers as well as mid- and senior-level management in government, NGOs, and the private sector. All workshop materials from past meetings are archived online.
- One-day seminars for NGOs and members of civil society organizations, usually attached to major conferences, to extend basic knowledge of impact evaluation and its value in program design and policy-making.
