The Asia Foundation Impact Evaluation Workshop
In 2010, CEGA partnered with The Asia Foundation and the Civil Service College (CSC) in Singapore to host a four-day workshop on the economic analysis of social programs. The workshop, held March 23-26 on the CSC campus, was led by faculty, students and staff from UC Berkeley and UC San Diego. The CSC is a statutory board under the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office, with a mission to develop people for quality public service.
At the workshop, UC faculty and students provided lecture- and problem-based training in the design of randomized trials for social program evaluation. UC researchers also facilitated working groups developing evaluation designs for new economic development programs being launched throughout South and Southeast Asia.

Participants included management staff from The Asia Foundation, as well as CSC faculty and students.
